• Local property taxes would be abated via Chapter 100 bonds for at least 5 years, subject to formal approval by the city council (which has already been supported by policy actions by each community for the designated property).
• Sales tax on manufacturing machinery and equipment are exempt by state statute.
• Sales tax on non-manufacturing personal property and building materials would be exempted via Chapter 100 bonds. The exemption of the personal property is subject to approval by the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
• Most projects would either qualify for the Missouri Quality Jobs or Missouri Enhanced Enterprise Zone tax credits, which would most likely offset Missouri business income taxes attributable to the facility. There is no guarantee that all projects will qualify or offset all state income taxes by these two programs.
• Projects that result in the relocation of jobs within the CORE region do not qualify for this program.
